Nếu lấy màu Xanh làm khởi điểm để nói về thực hành của tôi trong lĩnh vực rộng lớn về các chiến lược giám tuyển, ngay từ đầu tôi sẽ chọn ba cách diễn đạt rất phổ biến tại của Đức: Fahrt ins Blaue, Blau machen và Blau sein. Fahrt ins Blaue có nghĩa là một du ngoạn ngoài thiên nhiên mà không thực sự biết nên đi đâu. Blau machen có nghĩa là bỏ lỡ một điều gì đó. Giống như lúc còn đi học: chỉ là tôi không đến đó, đó là một quyết định dứt khoát. Blau sein là tình trạng tồi tệ sau khi uống quá nhiều rượu. Bạn mất định hướng.
Những hình ảnh này vô tình khớp với những gì tôi đang làm. Là một giám tuyển, tôi rất quan tâm đến việc không đi theo những con đường chính. Tôi bắt đầu mà không biết nên đi đâu - với một kết thúc mở. Cá nhân tôi thực sự thích tập trung vào mọi thứ và không vượt qua bản thân để nhìn thấy hoặc biết tất cả mọi thứ. Tôi không thể. Và tôi thường thích cảm giác mất định hướng theo nghĩa là gây khó chịu cho khán giả để thực sự đưa ra cho họ một cách nhìn mới về mọi thứ.
Bài giảng của tôi sẽ chỉ ra một số con đường giám tuyển và trung gian.
If I take Blue as a starting point to talk about what I am doing in the wide field of curatorial strategies, I pick three German very common expressions at the beginning: Fahrt ins Blaue, Blau machen and Blau sein. Fahrt ins Blaue means, that I go out for a trip into nature, not really knowing where to go. Blau machen means: I skip something. Like at school: I just don’t go there, it’s a strong decision. Blau sein is a the bad condition after drinking too much alcohol. You lose orientation.
Putting these images in relation to what I am doing, it somehow by accident fits quite well. As a curator I’m strongly interested in not following main roads. I start without knowing where to go – with an open end. I personally really like to focus on things and don’t overtake myself to see or know e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g. I simply can’t. And quite often I love the fact to lose orientation more in the sense of irritation for the audience to really put audience into a new way of looking at things.
My lecture will show several curatorial and mediation-paths.
