Vụn Art là một mô hình kinh tế tập thể tạo tác động, được thành lập năm 2017 bởi anh Lê Việt Cường, một người khuyết tật vận động. Vụn Art được ra đời với mong muốn giữ gìn và giới thiệu văn hóa truyền thống, tạo việc làm cho người khuyết tật và tận dụng các nguyên liệu thừa trong quá trình sản xuất để bảo vệ môi trường.
Vụn Art hướng dẫn, đào tạo nghề tranh ghép vải cho người khuyết tật với sự tham gia của các họa sĩ hàng đầu Việt Nam. Tranh vải là chiếc cầu nối để họ cùng với những người khuyết tật góp phần “hồi sinh” những giá trị văn hóa truyền thống của người Việt. Nguyên liệu ghép tranh là những mảnh vải vụn bỏ đi của các nhà may. Tận dụng các mảnh vải vụn này, bằng sự sự khéo léo, cần cù, sáng tạo, những người thợ khuyết tật tạo nên những bức tranh nghệ thuật mang đậm văn hóa, bản sắc dân tộc. Chuyển thể tranh dân gian vào tranh vải được thực hiện theo nguyên tắc vừa trung thành với nguyên bản nhưng cũng không vì thế mà bó buộc những những thể nghiệm có thể tạo nên giá trị thẩm mỹ mới phù hợp với thị hiếu của người đương thời.
Vụn Art is a social enterprise founded in 2017 by Mr. Lê Việt Cường, who himself has a physical disability. The initiative aims to create positive social impact by preserving and promoting traditional culture, while also providing employment opportunities for people with disabilities and promoting environmental sustainability by using leftover materials from the production process. Vụn Art trains individuals with disabilities in the craft of patchwork painting, with guidance from leading Vietnamese artists. Patchwork serves as a medium through which these artists and individuals with disabilities contribute to the revival of Vietnam's traditional cultural values.
The raw materials used in these artworks come from discarded fabric scraps collected from tailors. With ingenuity, patience, and creativity, disabled workers transform these scraps into unique works of art, rich with cultural significance and national identity. The process of turning folk paintings into fabric artwork stays faithful to the original, but also allows for experimentation, creating new aesthetic values that resonate with contemporary tastes.
