Constança Arouca (Lisbon, 1976) tốt nghiệp Khóa học nâng cao về nghệ thuật thị giác năm 2004 và Dự án cá nhân về hình ảnh chuyển động năm 2005, cả hai đều tại Ar.Co, Lisbon. Năm 2006, tham gia Khóa học Nghệ thuật Thị giác của Quỹ Calouste Gulbenkian. Năm 2009 và 2011, là nghệ sĩ lưu trú tại AGA - Grafisch Atelier của Amsterdam. Năm 2016, tốt nghiệp Chương trình Thạc sĩ Nhân chủng học - Văn hóa Thị giác của Đại học Nova với bài luận nhiếp ảnh về thực hành in ấn trong nghệ thuật đương đại, ở Bồ Đào Nha. Kể từ đó, cô đã phát triển tác phẩm nghệ thuật của mình trong lĩnh vực vẽ, in ấn và video. Song song đó, cô bắt đầu hai dòng nghiên cứu về in ấn: từ năm 2016 đến năm 2017, cô đã hệ thống hóa kho lưu trữ Ma trận in ấn tại Bảo tàng Nghệ thuật Cổ đại Quốc gia, ở Lisbon và trình bày kết quả nghiên cứu của mình: “The Case Study of Iohannes Moll’s Copper Plate” tại Hội nghị: Đá, khối và tấm: Ma trận/Bề mặt in trong nghiên cứu và sưu tập, tại Viện nghệ thuật Courtauld, London. Từ năm 2017 đến năm 2020, cô đã hoàn thành “Study of the Vietnamese Prints and Posters from the Kwok On Collection” (Nghiên cứu các bản in và áp phích Việt Nam từ Bộ sưu tập Kwok On), tại Bảo tàng Phương Đông, Lisbon, với bài tiểu luận về đặc điểm của bộ sưu tập, tập trung vào chủ đề, cách sử dụng và kỹ thuật của Đối tượng in 360. Hiện tại, cô là nghiên cứu sinh Tiến sĩ Nhân chủng học trong chương trình do Iscte và NOVA FCSH phối hợp tổ chức.

Constança Arouca (Lisbon, 1976) graduated from the Advanced Course of Visual Arts, in 2004, and Individual Project in Moving Image, in 2005, both at Ar.Co, Lisbon. In 2006, participated in Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s Visual Arts Course. In 2009 and 2011, was an artist in residence at AGA - Amsterdams Grafisch Atelier. In 2016, graduated from Nova University’s Master Program of Anthropology - Visual Cultures with a photographic essay about the practice of printmaking in contemporary art, in Portugal. Since then, she has developed her artwork in the fields of drawing, printmaking and video. In parallel, she begun two lines of printmaking research: between 2016 and 2017, she systematized the inventory of Printmaking Matrices at the National Museum of Ancient Art, in Lisbon, and presented the result of her research: “The Case Study of Iohannes Moll’s Copper Plate” at the conference: Stones, Blocks and Plates: Matrices/ Printing Surfaces in Research and Collections, at the Courtauld Institute of Art, in London. Between 2017 and 2020, she completed the “Study of the Vietnamese Prints and Posters from the Kwok On Collection”, at the Orient Museum, in Lisbon, with an essay on the characterization of the collection, focusing on the themes, uses and techniques of 360 printed objects. Currently, she is an Anthropology PhD student in the programme jointly organized by Iscte and NOVA FCSH.
