Pamela Nguyen Corey nghiên cứu và giảng dạy lịch sử nghệ thuật hiện đại và đương đại, tập trung vào khu vực Đông Nam Á mở rộng ra bối cảnh xuyên quốc gia Châu Á và toàn cầu. Cô đã nhận bằng Tiến sĩ (Lịch sử Nghệ thuật và Nghiên cứu thị giác) tại Đại học Cornell. Trước khi tham gia giảng dạy tại Đại học Fulbright Việt Nam vào tháng 01/2021, cô từng là phó giáo sư của khoa Lịch sử Nghệ thuật và Khảo cổ học tại Trường Nghiên cứu Phương Đông và Châu Phi, Viện đại học Luân Đôn. Pamela đã xuất bản bài đăng trên nhiều tạp chí học thuật, các vựng tập triển lãm, cũng như các nền tảng dành cho bình luận nghệ thuật và văn hóa. Cuốn sách đầu tay của cô, The City in Time: Contemporary Art and Urban Form in Vietnam and Cambodia (tạm dịch: Đô thị theo thời gian: Nghệ thuật đương đại và hình thái đô thị ở Việt Nam và Campuchia) (NXB Đại học Washington, 2021), đã nhận được tài trợ của Quỹ Xuất bản Millard Meiss từ Hiệp hội Nghệ thuật Cao đẳng.
Pamela Nguyen Corey researches and teaches modern and contemporary art history, focusing on Southeast Asia within broader transnational Asian and global contexts. She received her Ph.D. (History of Art and Visual Studies) from Cornell University. Prior to joining Fulbright University Vietnam in January 2021, she was an assistant professor in the History of Art & Archaeology department at SOAS University of London. Pamela has published in numerous academic journals, exhibition catalogs, and platforms for artistic and cultural commentary. Her first book, The City in Time: Contemporary Art and Urban Form in Vietnam and Cambodia (University of Washington Press, 2021), was the recipient of a Millard Meiss Publication Fund from the College Art Association.
