Quỳnh Đồng tạo ra những tác phẩm video cực thực nhằm cung cấp một nền tảng nội tại mà qua đó cô chủ ý thách thức các khuôn mẫu văn hóa. Thực hành của cô trải rộng đến cả trình diễn và điêu khắc. Quỳnh Đồng sáng tác các tác phẩm của cô dưới dạng tranh vẽ (về mặt ý niệm). Chức năng và hình thức, nghệ thuật và sến (kitsch). Mối liên kết của sự huyễn hoặc về cái đẹp, của những giá trị tầm thường nhất.
Quỳnh Đồng sinh ra ở Hải Phòng, Việt Nam vào năm 1982. Cô theo học Trường Thiết kế ở Biel/Bienne để lấy bằng thiết kế đồ họa, tốt nghiệp với bằng Cử nhân Mỹ thuật tại Đại học Nghệ thuật Bern và được nhận bằng Thạc sĩ ngành Mỹ thuật tại Đại học Nghệ thuật Zurich. Cô đã hoàn thành các chương trình lưu trú tại Sommerakademie im Zentrum Paul Klee ở Bern (SAK), International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) ở Thành phố New York, Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten ở Amsterdam, MMCA Changdong điều hành bởi Bảo tàng Nghệ thuật Hiện đại và Đương đại Quốc gia, Hàn Quốc ở Seoul, và Tháng Thực hành Nghệ thuật (MAP 2019) tại Heritage Space ở Hà Nội.
Quỳnh Đồng creates hyper-real video works to provide an innate platform upon which she deliberately challenges cultural stereotypes. Her practice extends to also include performance and sculpture. Đồng composes her works as paintings (conceptually). Function and form, art and kitsch. Connection of the myth of the beautiful, the most trivial values.
Quỳnh Đồng was born in Hải Phòng, Vietnam in 1982. She attended the Design School in Biel/Bienne for a degree in graphic design, graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the Bern University of Arts and earned her MA in Fine Arts at the Zurich University of the Arts. She completed her residency programs at The Sommerakademie im Zentrum Paul Klee in Bern (SAK), The International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) in New York City, Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam, MMCA Changdong run by National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea in Seoul and Month of Arts Practice (MAP 2019) at Heritage Space in Hanoi.
